BUCHANAN, JR, Lionel Algie of Dallas, TX passed away June 21, 2015 at age 67. He was born July 3, 1947 in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lionel A. Buchanan, Sr. and Ludie Elizabeth Buchanan; brother, Tommy Buchanan; and son, Curt Toney. Survived by his wife, Debra Buchanan; brother,Jim Orsbon (Debbie) of Nashville; son, Derrick Toney (Kelly); grandson, Grant of Bradington, FL., as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers, who loved him dearly and will miss him. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 11:00am Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
I knew Lionel all the way from Stokes through Hillsboro. We were in Scouts together and I always thought Lionel was the most likeable fellow in the world. I remember sharing a tent on one of those miserable scout weekends in some rainy park. Rest in peace, Lionel.
