CELAURO, LeonardBorn July 2, 1947 in Bethlehem, PA, died at his home in Nashville on August 19, 2012 after a battle with cancer. He is the son of Dr. Francis L. Celauro and Lillian Sardella Celauro. He graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Architecture in 1970, and was most recently an architect with Allard Ward Architects. His projects included Nashville's Legislative Plaza, the Criminal Justice Center, the downtown YMCA, Vanderbilt Hawkins Baseball Stadium, and the Currey Ingram School among many others. An architect by profession, he was also a talented watercolorist and builder of longneck banjos. He was the Grand Marshal of the Oak Hill Fourth of July parade for over twenty years. He is survived by his older brother, Paul Celauro (Cathy); his younger sister, Carolyn Harmon (Baron), as well as his beloved wife, Kathy and daughter, Kate (Mark Schultz), and their son, Ryan. Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 22nd. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service.
