John A. Duke, age 69, passed away on July 11, 2017 in Franklin, TN. He was born September 24, 1947 to the late Hickman and Lois Duke.
Mr. Duke was married April 15, 1978 to Sally Warren Duke who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sister, Nancy Duke of Nashville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Trey and Linda Duke of College Grove, TN; nieces, Kerry Castleman-Ross of Maine, Jennifer Duke of Ashville, NC and Amanda Gentry of Knoxville, TN; nephews, Ollie Petre and Phillip Harris both of Nashville and Cal Cooper of New York; and many special children whose lives he touched.
John graduated from Hillsboro High School and the University of Tennessee. His career was in healthcare, working for Baxter Healthcare and Trauma Care. John's passions were friends and sports, particularly golf, croquet and football. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve and member of West End United Methodist Church.
