Comment: After graduating from Kentucky Wesleyan College, I moved to Minneapolis (brutal winters/perfect summers) to work in the computer industry. I worked for one company for my entire career until I took early retirement in order to pursue some of my own business interests outside the corporate environment. It was all very exciting and involved me in everything fron NASA to the beginning of the Internet to intenrational banking. Today I am semi-retired (too much "semi" and not enough "retired") and enjoy life with my wonderful wife of many years. Sorry I can't make the reunion.

Comment: After some post grad rambling in 1976 my wife (now of 44 years) and I settled in Asheville, NC, in a renovated 19th century apple storage barn on the edge of a national forest.  We fell in love with Asheville and the mountains almost on sight and love them to this day.  I have worked in the largest hospital in this end of the state since 1981.

No kids.  2 utterly spoiled collie dogs and three parrots.

I will not be able to attend the reunion due to health issues.  I was diagnosed in November of last year with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of my blood plasma and am currently getting weekly chemotherapy treatments which I cannot affort to interupt.  I am responding well to the chemo and expect to be able to go to the University of NC hospital at Chapel Hill for a bone marrow transplant.

I hope the reunion is a tremendouis success and that everybody has a wonderful time.

Major breakthrough!  I am in the process of enrolling in a Clinical Drug Trial for an oral form of the chemotherapy I have been getting by injection.  The fact that I have been accepted in the trial means my cancer is nearing or has gone into remission.  Multiple Myeloma never goes into complete remission but as long as I am in this study I will not need to go to Chapel Hill and have a Bone Marrow Transplant, which is a Very Good Thing.  And not having to show up at the WNC Cancer Center every week will free me up for a lot of other, more interesting events ... like white water rafting!
