LOVELL, John Charles, 75, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2022. John lived in Nashville his entire life, graduating from Hillsboro High School and Vanderbilt University. He was the second-generation owner of J.T. Lovell Company for almost fifty years. He served on the Board of Commissioners for the City of Forest Hills for twenty-four years as Vice-Mayor and Mayor. Preceded in death by his wife, Joan Foley Lovell, and parents J. T. Lovell and Ruby Ishmael Lovell. John is survived by his son, Dr Scott Foley Lovell, beloved grandson, Jude Foley Lovell, and his longtime companion Betty Crouch. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choosing.

MARTIN, Larry William  Age 54.  September 8, 2001.  He was president of Evens Glass Co.  He was a 1965 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1969 graduate of The University of Kentucky.  He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon E. Martin, Sr.  He is survived by mother, Millie Brake Martin; wife, Mary E. Martin; sons, A. Chase, Chandler E. and Colin B. Martin; brother, Vernon E. (Jan) Martin, Jr.; sister, Dianne M. (Dennis) Carwile; aunt, Nell Spencer; uncle, Cody Rchardson, Sr., all of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.  Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. "Chip" Mayer, 70, a proud father of three children, died peacefully at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn. on August 2, 2017.Born on May 15, 1947 in Lancaster, Penn., Mr. Mayer's family later moved to Nashville where Mr. Mayer graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965.
