PAMPLIN, SR., John Hiestand Age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, November 13, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital after a brief illness. The Nashville native was a second-generation Vanderbilt graduate, earning two degrees, including an MBA from the Owen School. He was an accomplished businessman, from being the youngest bank branch manager in Commerce Union Bank history, to founding Athlete's Foot stores across Tennessee. BLACKBURN, Susan Stockell - Age 55. Began her final journey on July 10, 2002 after an extended illness. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine T. Blackburn and Art Reeves; her son and daughter-in-law, Lee Blackburn and Janel; and two brothers, Albert W. Stockell III and Lewis Allen Stockell.
Born in Berlin, Germany, Ms. Balckburn had lived in Nashville for 41 years. Until her recent illness, she was active in the Eastern Star, and a regular attendee at The Church of the Resurrection.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, July 12, 2002, at 10 AM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
