John Edward Walker (July 14, 1947 - June 19, 2018). John was born in Nashville, TN and grew up in Green Hills. He served bravely in the U.S. Navy for 22 years, spending several years in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy he worked at the United Methodist General Board of Discipleship. David was born in Jackson, Tennessee to Pierce and Dorothy Winningham, the third of four children. He moved to Nashville, attended Battle Ground Academy and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965. He received a degree from the University of Memphis, where he met his wife, Diane (Dunn).
